“A defeat like that always hurts,” he told a Press conference. “You just have to apologise to the fans.
“We didn't have the ball and then failed to create problems for them on the counter-attack.
“Valencia merited their win so we cannot make any excuses.
“We've missed plenty of opportunities over the season – we are just fighting to save our image now.”
