Paco Jemez is reportedly in a key week of negotiations with Rayo Vallecano over the signing of a new two-year deal.
The Coach has been in talks since mid-March and within a few days of their starting it was believed that a deal in principle had been agreed.
However, delays have followed and AS report today that this week is a crucial week in sorting out the terms of the expected two-year extension.
It is understood that Rayo will make a final push to sign Jemez, who is coming to the end of his current one-year deal and is apparently attracting interest from elsewhere.
The Madrid side are seen as keen to resolve the issues now, so as to immediately begin preparations for next season’s squad. A number of players have contracts or loan agreements expiring in June.
