Joan Verdu has reportedly ‘rejected several offers’ from interested parties out of a desire to reach a contract agreement with Espanyol.
The playmaker has restarted talks with Los Pericos over a new deal in recent weeks, with his current contract expiring in June.
The likes of Sevilla and Atletico Madrid are speculated as having approached the player, but Mundo Deportivo report today that he has ‘rejected several offers’ to prioritise talks with Espanyol.
However, it is also seen that these negotiations remain ‘paralysed’. Whilst Verdu is described as willing to reduce his current earnings, he has yet to accept the numbers on the table from the club.
