Adrian wants five wins

Adrian Lopez is hoping that Atletico Madrid can win their final four League games and their Copa del Rey Final to cap an ‘outstanding season’.

Atleti travel back out to Galician territory this Wednesday evening, following up the weekend trip to Deportivo with a game at Celta Vigo, for which the capital club’s forward is respectful.

“I imagine the game will be similar. They are in need of points and play at home,” commented former Depor man Adrian.

“They are a team that plays well and are dangerous. It will be complicated but they are three very important points for us and we will try to win.”

This fixture is rearranged to this midweek from Week 36, to accommodate Atletico’s participation in the May 17 Copa del Rey Final.

“We are concentrating on what is coming up, which is the match against Celta. For us it is a very important game.

“Later we will speak about the final and prepare with a lot of excitement as a club and for the fans.

“We still have to keep winning games. In the next game we must get the three points, There are five matches in total and we want to win them all.

“For us this end of the League season along with the Cup is very important, on a personal note, I want to be at the best level to help the team and be able to finish the season as best as possible.

“I think the season has been outstanding. Being where we are with what is left and in the Cup final against Real Madrid, it is very good for us.

“I believe this to be an outstanding season and if we ended up getting third and winning the title, it would be perfect but the season has already been outstanding.”
