Manuel Pellegrini has admitted that it will be 'difficult' for his Malaga side to qualify for the Champions League.
The Boquerones lost 1-0 to Graanda on Saturday to leave themselves five points adrift of Real Soceidad in fourth.
“It was a close game,” he told a Press conference. “But neither team had any real punch.
“Their goal came from our mistake.
“When you lose it is easy to find an excuse, but I do not think we deserved to lose.
“I was not surprised by Granada, but it'll be difficult for us to make the Champions League now.”
