Manuel Pellegrini has reflected that Malaga are focused only on the short-term future of visiting Granada this Saturday.
The Costa del Sol side are currently five points behind Real Sociedad in the race for the fourth and final Champions League spot and again have endured a week of speculation, this time surrounding their Coach’s future at the club.
However, as the Chilean reflected today, the only concern inside the club is the trip to Andalucian rivals Granada.
“The players and coaching team are only concerned about tomorrow’s match against Granada and being another step closer to securing European qualification next season,” commented Pellegrini today.
“Granada are fighting to stay in the First Division, so we have to ensure we play well enough to come home with three points.
“Tomorrow’s match is going to be hard-fought, with both teams full of motivation and determination to win.
“We’ve got no physical problems ahead of this match and are very much looking forward to it.”
