Tito Vilanova is expected to confirm today his decision to stay on at Barcelona, but reports also continue about plans made if he does not.
The Coach will return to face the media on Friday afternoon for the first time in over three months, to continue his re-integration at Barca having returned in March from two months in New York receiving chemotherapy.
Speculation during his spell in America for a second bout of throat cancer was that he may not be well enough to continue at Barca into the second year of his contract.
However, AS believe that today’s Press conference will see Vilanova make clear his intention to stay on.
Even so, the publication also believe that Barca will still assess his general fitness to do so come the end of the season and that in the case that they do not deem him able to continue, they have drawn up a list of possible replacements.
Specifically, the Catalans would consider one between Malaga Coach Manuel Pellegrini and outgoing Bayern boss Jupp Heynckes.
