Roberto: Zaragoza can’t fail

Roberto Jimenez has listed how Real Zaragoza must approach a ‘new League of six games’ in order to survive, warning that they cannot go wrong.

Zaragoza are without a win in the calendar year of 2013 and it is run that has seen them slide down the table to 20th position, off the back of Monday night’s defeat at Celta Vigo.

Heading into Saturday night’s relegation clash at home to Mallorca, the team’s goalkeeper has urged his teammates to remain calm in order to turn things around.

“We cannot go wrong. We have to forget the many games without a win and go for the three points against Mallorca,” Roberto told reporters this week.

“I believe that now we have begun a new League of six games that we have to win to ensure survival.

“We need a change but with this group of people. We are capable of it.

“We cannot judge Manolo Jimenez’ work because we are not doing well and not what he is asking of us.

“The team has the capacity to take on this challenge and reverse the situation that we are in.

“We have to face what we must achieve without pressure, so as to succeed. That’s what saved us last year.”
