Unai Emery enthused at the group effort he saw Sevilla produce to defeat Athletic Bilbao on Monday evening.
An early goal and a late one from Alvaro Negredo defeated Athletic on Monday evening, in a game that both sides ended with 10 men.
“I want to highlight the group pushing in the one direction,” enthused Emery post-match.
“They have been very good and players like Reyes have now reached the level where we do not give up. It is good that he wants this and has added sacrifice to his game.
“We wanted to think of this game until its conclusion and to win it regardless of all the connotations that could arise. Without thinking of anything further, and not just because we won.
“Now we must analyse everything on from Fernando Navarro’s red card, the possibilities that exist and work with those.
“We will strengthen the squad and work from the collective base to be at our best.”
