Alcaraz says sorry to supporters

Granada boss Lucas Alcaraz apologised to supporters after his side lost to Real Betis 5-1 on Friday evening.

Two goals from Ruben Castro, one apiece for Dorlan Pabon and Angel Lopez, as well as an own goal from Inigo Lopez ensured that El Grana were humiliated at Los Carmenes.

And the 46-year-old has admitted that his team let the fans down.

“I think I am capable of saving this team,” he told a Press conference. “It is a day to apologize to the fans.

“Their behaviour has been exquisite and ours has left something to be desired.

“They got three goals in six minutes, and we didn't – it's that simple.

“But we are still the same team that beat Real Madrid a few weeks ago.

“In football you have to overcome moments like this.

“It is not a pleasant situation, but it always changes.”
