Kaka turns down Flamengo

A report in Brazil says that Real Madrid’s Ricky Kaka has turned down a chance to move to Flamengo in the summer.

The Brazilian has spent the season on the outskirts of the Madrid first team and in the last two transfer windows has been available for a move out of the Bernabeu, only to see proposed loans to Milan break down amid financial differences.

Globoesporte report today that the 30-year-old was presented with his latest chance to leave Madrid recently, with Flamengo coming in with an offer to take the Brazilian international back to his home country.

Despite Vice-President Luiz Eduardo Baptista reportedly meeting with Kaka’s agent and father Bosco Leite in Miami to make clear the proposal in place, it was turned down on the instruction of the player.

Kaka, whose contract with Madrid runs through to June 2015, is seen as unwilling to return to Brazil at the moment.
