Valencia and Malaga are both reported as prepared to make a move for Rayo Vallecano Paco Jemez in the summer, should they need a Coach.
Jemez has impressed in his debut season in La Liga, taking Rayo to the point of an unlikely challenge for European qualification.
AS say that Malaga are primarily interested and are prepared to come in with an offer to sign him this summer, should Manuel Pellegrini leave for England.
At the same time, Valencia are also said to be considering Jemez as a replacement on their bench, should Ernesto Valverde not renew his contract beyond its June 2013 expiry.
Jemez is seen as on the verge of agreeing an improved two-year agreement with Rayo, to extend his stay in Madrid beyond this summer, when he is otherwise out of contract.
It is understood, however, that part of any agreement in place between Jemez and Rayo will include a clause to release the tactician, should a bigger club come in for him.
