Resino: Barca draw a turning point

Abel Resino has described his Celta Vigo side's 2-2 draw with Barcelona on Saturday evening as 'a turning point'.

Goals from Nacho Insa and Borja Oubina cancelled out Lionel Messi and Cristiano Tello's strikes to ensure that both teams came away with a point.

And the 53-year-old has insisted that his team were worthy opponents for the Blaugrana.

“This could be a turning point for us,” he told a Press conference. “We worked hard and it paid off.

“We didn't collapse despite playing against the best players in the world.

“Rather than settle [for a 2-1 defeat] we went for the draw and even for the victory.

“That for me is even more important than the point itself.

“My players have realised they can compete.”
