Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke has claimed that Diego Simeone's arrival at the club was a 'turning point'.
The Argentine Coach has guided the capital club to the Europa League title, as well as a likely Champions League place this term.
And the 21-year-old has admitted that the tactician has changed the Rojiblancos.
“The arrival of Simeone was not only a turning point for me, but for all of us,” he told vavel.com
“Before his arrival things were not going well – we had just been knocked out of the Copa del Rey by Albacete.
“But the Coach arrived and changed the mentality of the players. He taught us to be positive.
“From then on we have done well.”
