Deschamps not after draw, but…

Didier Deschamps has once more urged his France side to make use of what possession they have against Spain and at least at the start not look to draw.

Les Bleus hold the upper hand for tonight’s World Cup qualification Group I clash in Paris, as they sit two points ahead of La Roja in this potentially decisive meeting.

“We have to make use of the ball and oblige Spain to defend,” Deschamps commented to reporters in his pre-match conference.

“I am convinced that it is useless to struggle for possession of the ball. We’re not looking to play for a draw, but if necessary, it would be fine.

“We already had respect for Spain before this game, but that does not mean that we will feel intimidated.

“They may feel more obliged to win, but even if they had won on Friday they would have come here with the same attitude.”
