Changed Spain for France

Vicente del Bosque is expected to make four changes to the Spain starting line-up to face France this evening.

La Seleccion go into Tuesday’s 2014 World Cup qualifier chasing a win to turn around a current two-point deficit to the French.

From the draw on Friday against Finland that has contributed to the current situation, Spain are expected to welcome back Xabi Alonso and Xavi Hernandez into midfield, after injury, albeit with Xavi not expected to last the full 90.

Santi Cazorla is expected to drop to the bench, whilst Andres Iniesta will move into the front three at the expense of one of Cesc Fabregas and David Villa.

Attack is also expected to see Pedro Rodriguez reintegrated into the starting line-up  after his performance against Finland, in place of David Silva.

Meanwhile, Jordi Alba’s absence with a hamstring strain will be filled by Nacho Monreal, whilst Alvaro Arbeloa keeps his place at right-back.

Spain probable line-up: Valdes; Arbeloa, Ramos, Pique, Monreal; Busquets, Alonso; Xavi; Pedro, Villa, Iniesta
