Luka Modric has briefly commented on his improved form of late for Real Madrid, conceding that the game against Manchester United was important.
The Croat was brought off the bench during Madrid’s Champions League Last 16 second leg at Old Trafford and turned the tide in the Spaniards’ favour.
On from that, the player has reflected that he is feeling more at home, during a first season at the Santiago Bernabeu in which he has otherwise struggled for regular playing time.
“I feel comfortable,” he told reporters in English in the mixed zone after this weekend’s win against Mallorca that saw him score.
“The game at Old Trafford has helped me a lot, and I feel comfortable now.
“Before that I was not going in the direction that I wanted.
“And now I hope to continue like this.”
