The medical staff at Barcelona have confirmed that Carles Puyol will be out for longer than first thought after knee surgery.
The club captain went under the knife yesterday evening to cure a longstanding knee injury, but the Blaugrana doctors have revealed that the veteran defender could be sidelined for longer than the three to four weeks first reported.
“The lay-off could vary,” Dr. Cugat told a Press conference. “It may be four weeks, it may be eight weeks.
“It all depends on Carles.”
