Barcelona and ‘an important team in Madrid’ have been listed as two of ‘many’ admirers looking at Porto forward Jackson Martinez.
The striker has risen in prominence in Europe this season for his 28 goals netted so far this term in just 32 appearances.
Speaking to TuttoMercatoWeb.com, his agent says that a number of clubs are following him, including the current Spanish League leaders and presumably one from Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.
“With respect to Barcelona, I can confirm that there is great interest from the Catalan team, Giovanni Fiore revealed today.
“But they are not the only Spanish team, there is also another important club from Madrid that is following him closely.
“I can say that the player is also liked a lot in Italy, but I cannot name names. There was a real interest on the behalf of a great Italian team, and requests for information from another two Italian clubs.
“It is possible for Porto to study the different offers for him, but they should be large offers, given the importance of the player.”
