‘I don’t care what Mourinho does’

Real Madrid assistant Aitor Karanka has refused to comment on the future of Coach Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese tactician looks set to leave Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season, with Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Chelsea all rumoured destinations.

But Karanka has claimed that he has no interest in the future of the 50-year-old and just wants to concentrate on the upcoming match with Celta Vigo.

“I only want to work on the next game,” he told a Press conference. “I haven't asked and I don't care what he will do.

“The Coach is here, he is not thinking of anything other than Real Madrid.

“Celta Vigo will be tough. We will have to play well if we want to win. We have to be physically and mentally ready.

“The League is almost impossible for us now, so we're just fighting for second place.

“We'll play a strong team tomorrow, but it's also true that the likes of Varane, Coentrao, Ramos – the lads that have played every game – deserve a rest.”
