Vicente del Bosque believes that the Copa del Rey Final between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid should be contested in the capital city.
It is believed that Madrid and Atletico currently are in disagreement over the venue for mid-May’s final, with Los Blancos pushing for maximum audience at the Camp Nou and Los Colchoneros eyeing as little travel for the fans as possible.
For Del Bosque, the final would best be played in the capital, and not necessarily at the Santiago Bernabeu or Vicente Calderon.
“Given all the circumstances, it would be ideal to see that the Cup final would be played in Madrid,” commented La Roja’s Coach today.
“Should it be played on neutral ground? There are neutral stadiums in Madrid that belong to neither Real Madrid nor Atletico.”
