Manuel Pellegrini admitted to his concern at Malaga’s recent drop in form, as they suffered a second consecutive defeat.
Following on from a disappointing 1-0 reverse in the Champions League Last 16 at Porto, the Anchovies fell to a resounding 3-0 defeat to Real Betis on Sunday evening.
“We struggled tonight in the set-pieces. It’s important that we understand why we keep making certain mistakes,” rued Pellegrini at full-time.
“I’m concerned following our second defeat in a week. We’re still in fourth place, but we’re in the middle of a very demanding season, and are still aspiring to achieve a lot more.
“We’ve had a terrible week with two very poor games. None of the players were focused on our earlier defeat against Porto at all.”
