Cristiano contract talks in May

Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has reportedly identified the end of the season as the time to convince Cristiano Ronaldo to renew his contract.

The Portuguese has, since declaring he was unhappy in the autumn, been the subject of speculation, both that he may be on his way out and that he does not intend to sign a new contract with the club.

With the latter angle backed up by his comments in interviews this year, Madrid are seen as eager to change his mind.

AS believe today that Perez will wait for the season’s end – the Champions League Final is on May 25 and the last day of the League is set provisionally for May 31 – to hold talks with the 28-year-old.

Ronaldo’s current deal runs until the end of June 2015.
