Franck Ribery has enthused that Pep Guardiola’s confirmation as Coach for next season has put Bayern Munich level with Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Guardiola has been confirmed as taking over at the Allianz Arena from next term, much to French winger Ribery’s pleasure.
“Guardiola is Guardiola. His arrival shows that Bayern are not just any other club,” the 29-year-old told L’Equipe this week.
“If you can sign Guardiola then you are at the top level. Bayern is one of the three best clubs in the world, along with Madrid and Barca.
“Heynckes restored my confidence at Bayern, I do not believe I will be leaving this team.
“It was logical for the club to announce Guardiola’s signing when they did, for the rumours that surrounded him and our club.”
