Fabregas: Barca could have won

Cesc Fabregas believes that Barcelona could have had a better result for their performance in the second half against Real Madrid.

Fabregas opened the scoring on Wednesday evening for the Catalans, before Raphael Varane’s late header saw that the game ended on even terms.

“These are always very intense matches. We weren’t as active at the start. However, the result, seeing how the game played out, could have favoured us more,” commented the midfielder at the end

“It’s a good result. We still have the return leg at home. We have a month before that match and now we have to focus on the Liga, that’s the most important thing.

“We’re playing at a good level, we’re having a spectacular season We created ideal chances to win the game and now we’re leaving with a sense of disappointment.

“It was a great match. They started off strong and later we stepped up our game.”
