Three Clasicos in a month

Barcelona’s quarter-final Copa del Rey win over Malaga has ensured that they will meet Real Madrid three times in little over a month.

The Catalans’ 6-4 aggregate win over Malaga last night, combined with Madrid’s 3-1 aggregate win over Valencia the day before, has set up a Spanish Cup semi-final between the two rivals.

The first leg of Barca and Madrid’s Cup clash at the Santiago Bernabeu has today been set for Wednesday, January 30, with a 9pm kick-off whilst the second leg at Camp Nou will be scheduled for between February 26-28.

The two clubs are also due to meet in the League the weekend after the second leg of the semi-final, back at the Bernabeu.

The three Clasicos in such a short space of time will bring back memories of 2010-11’s four meetings between the teams inside three weeks, across the League, Champions League semi-finals and Copa del Rey Final.
