Carles Puyol will put pen to paper on a new three-and-a-half-year contract at Barcelona on Tuesday.
The veteran defender will be 35 at the end of the current season, but late last month was confirmed as having agreed to stay on as a player at Camp Nou until past his 38th birthday.
The club have confirmed this week that the player will make official that agreement at a ‘signing ceremony’ set to begin on Tuesday evening from 4pm UK time.
Puyol has won 19 major honours whilst with Barcelona, since coming up through the youth ranks and debuting in 1999. His original contract was set to expire this summer.
