Benat: Athletic game is special

Real Betis midfielder Benat has admitted that their match against Athletic Bilbao is extra special for him.

The 25-year-old came through the youth ranks at San Mames before leaving the club in 2009 to sign for the Verdiblancos.

And the playmaker has conceded that it will be nice to play against his former team.

“Yes, for me it is a special game,” he told Terra. “I have many friends there, so it is always nice to play them.

“I was trained there as a youngster, but I left because they didn't want me. I've matured now though and always work hard to be the best I possibly can.

“Athletic are the same team as last year really, but I think they could be even more dangerous because they've been hurt by their poor results.

“I don't think they should be where they are in the League.

“They have a good team and are strong in all areas. It will be a tough match.”
