Unai Emery’s debut with Sevilla left the Coach taking what positives he could, but also admitting that there are aspects to improve upon.
The former Valencia boss was appointed in Michel’s place on Monday evening and took his new team to Zaragoza yesterday, where they played out a 0-0 draw in the Copa del Rey first leg quarter-final.
“We had four chances to score, this tie is very much open. I’ll take the positives that there are quite a few of and with the idea of improving certain aspects that I believe we can do,” reflected Emery at the end.
“We need to expand on the situations that give us confidence, for the team to play looser and generate more chances to score and to win.
“We were solid in defence, whilst shots from outside the area have been our greatest danger.”
