Rayo Vallecano captain Piti has admitted that he was 'very happy' with his team after they defeated Geatfe 3-1 on Monday evening.
The 31-year-old scored two goals in last night's victory as they claimed the three points that took them up to seventh in the table.
And the former Real Zaragoza has conceded that he was delighted to defeat the Granotes.
“I am very happy to win the game,” he told reporters. “We played a great match – the whole team were perfect, doing some brilliant things.
“We started the season very well, but we want to carry on improving.
“We came back from the Christmas break, and started the way we had left off. It was an immense effort and an absolutely fantastic start to the year.”
