Anquela ‘could not ask for more’

Granada Coach Juan Antonio Anquela has conceded that he is hurting after his side's 2-1 loss to Valencia.

Brayan Angulo had given El Grana the lead on 50 minutes, but late goals from Jonas and Pablo Piatti eventually gave Los Che the three points.

And the 55-year-old boss has claimed that he could not ask any more from his team and also commented on the sending off of Mikel Rico early in the first half.

“We put in a tremendous amount of effort,” he told a Press conference. “We scored a goal and then lost the game – that hurts.

“But I cannot ask for more from my players.

“We were competing well with a really good opponent, even with a man down. The sending off really harmed us.”
