Luka Modric has admitted to struggling to adapt fully to life as a Real Madrid player, but believes he has also shown what he can offer.
The 27-year-old was the subject of protracted negotiations between Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid during the summer, before eventually completely a late move to the Spanish capital for a fee of around €35m.
However, he has been in and out of the Madrid side under Coach Jose Mourinho, who recently criticised the player as not offering consistent performance when played in consecutive games.
“This is Real Madrid. I am aware of the great media pressure that exists on the signings,” the Croat midfielder told native publication Sportske today.
“I’m not looking for an excuse, I am not that kind of a person, but it is very challenging to adapt to a great club like Real Madrid.
“I have had a number of good performances, not every game, but overall l believe that I have prove that I can offer something.”
