Michael Laudrup has distanced himself from reports linking Swansea City with a January swoop for Celta Vigo forward Iago Aspas.
The 25-year-old is Celta’s leading goalscorer this season with six netted so far in La Liga and has caught the attention with his performances for the newly-promoted Galicians.
Swansea, who since Laudrup’s summer arrival have taken an active interest in Spanish-based stars, have been increasingly linked with a move for Aspas.
However, their Coach Laudrup has moved to suggest that any transfer for the striker is a bit beyond the truth at this time.
“He’s a good player, a great striker who is doing very well,” commented the Dane when asked at a Press conference this week.
“I know of him, but then to say that he will come here is a big step…”
