‘Few score three against Levante’

Paco Jemez was delighted with his team’s response to the challenge of facing Levante, admitting that this win had ‘more value’.

The Coach oversaw a 3-0 home win over Juan Ignacio Martinez’ Granotes to consolidate a top 10 position on 25 points.

“It was very difficult. I do not think that many teams will manage three goals against Levante, since they are very good defensively,” reflected the former defender post-match.

“We found the game as we expected, I told my players that their work would be hard, but I liked the game as it was, because if we were able to manage it then it allowed us to think that we could do damage.

“It is unfortunate that this is not the end of the season. So it is the worst and the most beautiful. I do not know if this was our best game of the season, because we have played many very well.

“This game had merit and for the opponent we faced perhaps it has more value.

“Levante are complete in all respects, but this team, when we are focused and understand the game we are playing, we can compete with anyone.

“If we can finish the season with that in mind then we’ll see what the possibilities are.”
