Former Spanish national team boss Luis Aragones has responded to comments made by Diego Simeone on Sunday that La Liga is 'boring'.
The Atletico Madrid Coach claimed at the weekend that the top-flight in Spain was now just a one-horse race after Barcelona claimed an 11 point lead at the head of the table.
But the 74-year-old has refuted those claims, as well as praising the job done by the Argentine at Atleti.
“I would not say that it was boring,” he told AS. “Because there are still two playing for the championship.
“And then there are three of four teams who are fighting out for the remaining Champions League places.
“It is not boring, but perhaps it gets a bit heavy [with Barca's dominance].
“Real Madrid will always fight until the end and Atletico also have a chance because they are doing well.
“El Cholo is doing an outstanding job at Atletico and his team are responding to what the fans and the Coach require.”
