Malaga boss Manuel Pellegrini has admitted that his side were somewhat fortunate to come away with a win against Sevilla.
Second half goals from Martin Demichelis and Eliseu gave the Boquerones a 2-0 win at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Saturday evening.
But the Chilean Coach has conceded that for the first 45 minutes at least, his team were outplayed.
“We got lucky several times at the beginning of the game,” he told a Press conference. “It really was a mismatch to begin with.
“We almost paid for our sluggishness, but in the second half we had more of the ball and more opportunities.
“Two or three patterns of play changed the game. I have to give credit to my team, because in the second half we completely changed.”
