Mourinho full of praise for Aguirre

Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has praised his opposite number Javier Aguirre as Los Blanocs play Espanyol on Sunday.

The capital club host the Barcelona-based team at Santiago Bernabeu tomorrow, and the Portuguese tactician has admitted that he admires the Periquitos Coach.

“Espanyol have a Coach I really like,” he told a Press conference. “His teams always play nice football and work tirelessly.

“With his experience, I expect Aguirre to draw on the work done by [previous boss] Mauricio Pochettino and to start getting positive results very soon.”

He also commented on his own team and some of the players that may or may not be availiable.

“If Fabio Coentrao is fit to play, he will play. Karim Benzema though will not be able to play tomorrow.

“We will play like we always have done at home. We want to get a positive result and try to finish the year with a run of victories.

“These players are the same as last year when we were the best in Europe – that is a reason to be optimistic.”
