Floro Flores leaving ‘imminently’

Antonio Floro Flores might find his spell with Granada ended even before he can make his move to Genoa official in January.

The striker is all but signed off on a mid-season switch from parent club Udinese to the Grifone, ending an unsuccessful loan spell in Spain six months early.

However, Granada have reportedly told news agency EFE that they ‘no longer need the player’s services’ and that they want to offload him ‘as soon as possible’.

The striker has been training separate from the main group since informing the club at the start of the month that he could not play in the game against Espanyol due to a back injury, only to be then photographed skiing in the Sierra Nevada that same weekend.

Floro Flores was severely reprimanded by the club for gross misconduct. The 29-year-old is expected to join struggling Genoa from Udinese on a permanent deal in the winter transfer window.
