Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has joked about signing Radamel Falcao – but it went over the Colombian striker’s head.
Los Blancos have regularly been linked with a swoop for Falcao, who plays with their arch rivals Atletico Madrid.
Perez and Falcao were both present at an awards bash thrown by AS last night, where the latter was recognised for his accomplishments in 2012.
“Now I’ll pass the napkin to Falcao,” Perez quipped as the pair greeted one another, a reference to his passing a napkin to Zinedine Zidane at the Golden Ball gala in 2000 with the words ‘Want to play in Madrid?’ scrawled upon it.
Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas joined in with the joke but Falcao, unaware of the Zidane incident, was unable to.
