Pellegrini pleased with resounding win

Manuel Pellegrini thought his Malaga side were deserved winners as they defeated Granada 4-0 at La Rosaleda.

Joaquin, Javier Saviola, Ignacio Camacho and Roque Santa Cruz gave the Boquerones the win, and the Chilean Coach was pleased with his players after the final whistle, in particular with their second half performance.

“In the first half we scored two and had another two opportunities,” he told a Press conference. “But Granada also had three or four clear chances and really did deserve to score.

“In the second half though, we were the superior team and scored a further two goals.

“We've now got 25 points in four games less than we did last year, and we're playing in the Champions League. We've been brilliant in the League and in Europe.”
