Diego Simeone has claimed that his Atletico Madrid side deserved to draw with Viktoria Plzen.
The Rojiblancos lost 1-0 in the Czech Republic to concede top spot in Group B, but the Argentina Coach believes his team were worthy of a point, despite their poor performance.
“We were very bad in the first half,” he told a Press conference. “We did not have the right attitude and played poorly.
“The second half was a lot better. The players did what they had to do to draw the game.
“I think we deserved a draw.”
