Cristian Tello is once more reported as having eventually reached an agreement to renew his contract with Barcelona.
The young winger has been in negotiations over a new deal since August and, whilst all parties quickly came to an agreement on most aspects, the extensive delay in making official the news is understood to have been because of a slight disagreement over the player’s buyout clause.
Specifically it was a case of the player and the club disagreeing over what proportion would be due to Tello should it be activated.
However, according to Marca, the parties have settled on that and the 21-year-old will very shortly put pen to paper on a three-year extension to June 2016, with improved wages and his buyout clause remaining at €10m.
