Winger Cristian Tello is set to return to Fiorentina on loan following an agreement with Barcelona and the Serie A club.
Catalunya Radio claims the 25-year-old does not feature in Barca boss Luis Enrique’s plans for the new campaign and will join the Viola on a season-long deal, which includes an option to buy the player for €8m.
Tello, who has represented Spain once, spent the latter half of last season on loan in Florence after an arrangement between Porto, where he was originally loaned by Barca, and the Italians.
The Catalans were hoping to broker a permanent deal for Tello, who has a contract at the Camp Nou until 2018, but Fiorentina are not prepared to pay the €8m asking price right now and Barca have accepted a loan formula.
The news will come as a disappointment to Tottenham Hotspur, Swansea City and Liverpool, who were all showing interest in Tello.
