Goalkeeper Roberto Jimenez claims that Real Zaragoza go into every game this season feeling they can win it.
And it’s an attitude he admits that the Aragonese outfit have not always had in the past.
“We feel qualified to win any game,” said the 26-year-old custodian at a media engagement. “It’s important to feel able to win, but that does not mean we will prepare less rigorously for games. We should be doing everything we can to sustain the momentum we had at the end of last season.”
The Blanquillos made a dramatic, late escape from relegation last term. They go into Monday’s game, at home to Celta Vigo, in 13th position.
“It’s a perfect match for us after a defeat, against an opponent that is fighting for the same goals as us. This year we are conceding fewer chances and that is important.”
