Beckham back to Real Madrid?

Florentino Perez is reportedly interested in resigning David Beckham to Real Madrid, in an ambassadorial role.

The Englishman spent four seasons at the Santiago Bernabeu before signing with LA Galaxy in 2007 but, in confirming his intention to leave the American side at the end of his contract later this calendar year, could be set for a return to the Spanish capital.

Otherwise linked with continuing his playing career in Australia, or with Paris Saint-Germain or even back in the Premier League, reports in Spain suggest that Beckham could be handed a different offer from Madrid President Perez.

Should the player decide to hang up his boots at 37, Perez is understood to want him in an ambassador’s role at the club. The club President reportedly first put this scenario to Beckham last summer, but at that time was told by the player of his wish to stay with LA Galaxy.
