Malaga winger Eliseu has put his own form down to the confidence from his Coach and teammates and promises that everyone is focused on the League.
“The Coach is very confident in me, and when you go on to the pitch with the confidence and support of your peers, everything is easier. Things, not only with me, have gone very well, we are happy, but we want more,” the Portuguese told MCF TV.
The Costa del Sol side are in midweek Champions League action, but talking ahead of that, the player reflected that the team are determined to turn around a poor run of form in La Liga.
“We have to keep up in the League, now comes the hardest phase, we are focused on the League, in which we have recently had a bad run.”
Eliseu also reflected on the influence Manuel Pellegrini has had on his finding consistency, even if he isn’t scoring as often as he would like.
“You learn from past mistakes, the Coach asked me to change my ways, and the key is to focus only on what I have to do and let the referee do his job.
“I don’t always score because sometimes I play further back and other times on the wing, I have to do my work and do my job, hopefully I can still score the most goals I can.”
