Manuel Pellegrini has rested Joaquin Sanchez and Javier Saviola for Malaga’s Champions League trip out to face Zenit St Petersburg this week.
The Costa del Sol outfit are already qualified for the knockout stages of the competition after picking up 10 points from their opening four matches in Group C.
Subsequently, Pellegrini has taken the chance to rest a couple of his key men in Saviola and Joaquin, who will both sit out the long trip out to Russia.
