Busquets promises full effort

Sergio Busquets has promised that Spain will give their all in tonight’s friendly against Panama, despite limited preparation time.

The Barcelona man was talking to the Press ahead of Wednesday evening’s fixture, which he and his teammates have had little time to train together for.

“It will be difficult because we did not train yesterday, we only did some stretching,” Busquets told today’s Press conference.

“Now we have training before the game. We are used to these trips, though, and it will not be an excuse, as the result will not be about who has trained more but who is better.”

La Roja have an experimental look to their squad with several untried names in the ranks.

“Those that are here are in good form. For the Coach here are the best players. There were other players who were not in the best position to come, but the team’s ambition is the same.

“Those players selected will give everything for Spain.”

The midfielder reflected too that the team will give everything in this match, despite the overwhelming odds as favourites for the encounter.

“Every game is difficult regardless of the opponent. It is a game of preparation, with some new players, and we must prepare for the coming year with the World Cup qualifiers, and these games help us to try new things so as to continue our progress.”
