Cristian Tello is once more being reported as very close to penning his contract renewal with Barcelona.
The winger was linked with a summer loan departure, but in Tito Vilanova’s request to keep him and subsequent regular inclusion of him in the first team, the club have been negotiating a new deal.
Tello’s current contract also expires next summer, meaning that from January, if he has not renewed, then he would be free to discuss a potential Bosman deal with interested parties.
However, that is unlikely, according to Mundo Deportivo, who have the youngster as on the verge of signing on until June 2016.
It is understood that only a failure to agree on a buyout clause for 21-year-old is preventing the deal from being made official. Tello’s current price to negotiate with other clubs is set at €10m.
