Spain still top of the world

Spain continue to lead the way in the FIFA World Rankings, as November’s list is revealed today.

La Roja defeated Belarus 4-0 and drew with France 1-1 in October’s 2014 World Cup qualifying matches and it has proven enough for them to maintain top spot in the rankings for a 15th consecutive month.

Spain have now held the No 1 spot in the World Rankings for 46 of the last 54 months, since winning the European Championship in 2008.

November’s ranking sees Germany hold on to second spot, but Argentina move up to third after qualifying wins over Uruguay and Chile.

Other notable movers see Italy rise three position to fifth and Colombia consolidate a top 10 spot, moving up one position to eighth.
